Palo Alto Networks - Women in Technology Leadership Series MEL

26 May 2026

The discussion explored the growing impact of AI on governance, workforce transformation, leadership, and organisational decision-making. A key focus was the balance between the speed of AI-driven decisions and the need for effective human oversight, accountability, privacy, and responsible governance.

The conversation examined how organisations were identifying AI use cases ready for deployment, preparing their workforces for rapidly evolving threats and technologies, and adapting roles and skills as AI became increasingly embedded in everyday operations. Participants also discussed AI literacy, bias, education, and the importance of maintaining trust and accountability when AI is used in areas such as policing, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and enterprise operations.

A strong focus was placed on the role of women in shaping the AI revolution, including the value of diverse perspectives in technology, risk, ethics, governance, and decision-making. The session concluded with practical reflections on how organisations could strengthen AI capability, invest in future-ready skills, and adopt AI in a way that balanced innovation with human judgement, security, and trust.
