The fourth session in the Government Technology Leaders Series, hosted by the Trans-Tasman Business Circle in partnership with Adobe, brought together senior public-sector technology leaders for a peer-to-peer discussion on data collaboration, interoperability and trust. Featuring Kathryn Byrne, Chief Analytics Officer New Zealand at Woolworths Group, the session explored the importance of strong data foundations in enabling better outcomes for organisations, stakeholders and customers.
The conversation examined how unified data, common standards and interoperability could support greater collaboration and innovation, while maintaining privacy, governance and public trust. Participants also explored the evolving balance between data access and responsible AI adoption, including the role of privacy-enhancing technologies in enabling more personalised and connected services.
The roundtable provided a trusted environment for leaders to share practical perspectives on the enablers and blockers to effective data collaboration, surfacing common challenges around interoperability, data foundations and building trust across organisational and sector boundaries.
