AI at Scale: Investment, Sovereignty & Responsible AI in Government

25 Nov 2026

12pm-2:30pm AEDT

As AI moves rapidly from experimentation to implementation, governments are entering an important new phase, one increasingly focused not simply on the technology itself, but on how AI can be deployed responsibly at scale to deliver better outcomes, greater productivity and genuine public value.

Drawing on the Defence experience, the discussion will explore some of the practical questions now facing leaders across government. How do agencies move from pilots to implementation at scale? How should government assess the investment case and value created through AI? What does sovereign capability mean in the context of data, infrastructure, platforms, intellectual property and model choice? And as AI becomes increasingly embedded across government operations and service delivery, how do we ensure the right frameworks for security, governance, accountability and public trust?

This private, invitation-only discussion will bring together a carefully curated group of senior government technology, digital and transformation leaders.

Attendance is limited and expressions of interest are welcomed from senior leaders whose roles are relevant to the discussion. All expressions of interest will be reviewed by the Trans - Tasman Business Circle, with attendance confirmed directly to approved participants.
